ACADEMIC EDUCATION

F. Javier Tre studied Technical Surveying Engineering at the Polytechnical University of Madrid in 1985. Since then, he has continued to expand his studies with regulated and non-regulated training in the fields of geodetic and industrial metrology, instrumentation and measurement processes.

PROFFESIONAL EXPERIENCE 

He developed his first professional steps in the field of civil engineering in construction companies such as (Vias y Construcciones SA – Railways) and in the administration sector (General Department of Roads of the Generalitat de Catalunya).
Since 1988 he has been working at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) as a full professor of topographic instruments and industrial metrology. He also teaches Cadastre and legislation, graphic expression and topographic methods.
Javier developed from the topography laboratory of the UPC, collaboration projects in metrology of sports facilities for high competition with the company Astral Pool / Fluidra and he has done also the geometric control and certification of swimming facilities for the FINA in Barcelona 2003, Shanghai 2006, Melbourne 2007, Manchester 2008 and Jakarta in 2018.
Since 1995, he is linked through collaborative agreements with archaeological excavation campaigns in the development of cartography in (Djebel Barkal – Sudan Meidum-Egypt (Clos Archaeological Foundation).
Since 2011, he is a member of the Thutmose III Funerary Temple Project in Luxor (Egypt).
